Family Tradition Marches On!

Congrats to Adam Rossi who successfully auditioned for the WVU Marching Band. It is great to see this tradition going back to Grandpa Farinelli being carried on.

Congrats to Adam for all the scholarships, being in the honors program, and all that too...

Gina and I went to Maria's concert this past Sunday. Afterwords we went out to dinner with many of the choir members as well as Uncle Johnny, Carol, Brandon, and his mom came in from Minnesota as well. We also picked up Rachel as the dinner was at a little Italian place near Akron U. All had a great time!

Cecilia!

Did you all know that Cecilia attended Honors Band last weekend at WVU where she thoroughly enjoyed playing her french horn? I understand she will also attend Honors Band at FSU later this spring. Way to go Cecilia! Didn't Mary play her oboe in an Honors Concert at South Carolina too? What musical kids...now where did they get those genes?

Hotel Rooms for the Wedding!

There is a block of rooms at the Hampton Inn in Laurel, MD. There are 10 rooms with 2 double beds and 10 rooms with 1 king bed. The rate is $109 plus tax per night. There is a second block of rooms at the Fairfield Inn (also including kings and doubles) for $89 plus tax per night. The Fairfield Inn is just down the street (less than a block away) from the Hampton. We saw both places and they seem fine. We liked the Hampton Inn better because there is a bigger gathering area downstairs (like the place we stay when we go to Cathy & Ted's) and there is less traffic noise. The Fairfield Inn is right on Route 1, the main street. All the rooms are being held for Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. The family 5k will be Saturday morning, with coach Jane in charge. Other Saturday events tba. The wedding is Sunday at 2 pm. The hotels are located between the chapel and reception site. We are going to stay at the Hampton on Saturday night for sure. Amy & Beth have the one suite at the Hampton for their night before the wedding pajama party, and as the place for the bride to get dressed for the wedding. Reservations for both places need to be made by calling the hotel directly and saying you are with the Schneider/Watson wedding party. PLEASE double check the cancellation policy when you call and make a note of it. We had a little problem at the Hampton in GA last time.

Great Race!

We attended the Maryland state private school cross country event yesterday. We got to see Adam and Cecilia cross the finish line. Adam ran a personal best race for his final high school cross country meet. The Bishop Walsh girls team had 2 runners in the top 10 and finished 4th in their division. Congrats to the Rossi runners and coaches!
